Integrations
Connect ClickDefender to your ad platforms and communication tools.
Google Ads
What It Does
The Google Ads integration automatically syncs your blocked IP addresses to Google Ads IP exclusions. This prevents fraudsters from even seeing your ads, saving you money before clicks happen.
Setup Instructions
- Go to Integrations
Navigate to the Integrations page in your dashboard.
- Click "Connect Google Ads"
You'll be redirected to Google to authorize ClickDefender.
- Select Your Account
Choose the Google Ads account you want to protect.
- Grant Permissions
Allow ClickDefender to manage IP exclusions. We only request the minimum necessary permissions.
- Select Campaigns
Choose which campaigns to protect with automatic IP exclusions.
Required permissions: ClickDefender needs "Standard access" to your Google Ads account to read campaign data and manage IP exclusions. We never modify your ads, budgets, or bids.
How Sync Works
- ClickDefender identifies IPs with fraud scores of 70 or higher
- Every 6 hours, we compile a list of the top 500 fraudulent IPs
- These IPs are automatically added to your Google Ads IP exclusions
- Old exclusions are rotated out as new threats are detected
Note: Google Ads limits IP exclusions to 500 per campaign. ClickDefender prioritizes the highest-risk IPs and most recent offenders.
Slack
What It Does
Get instant Slack notifications when fraud is detected. Perfect for teams who want real-time visibility into their ad campaign health.
Setup Instructions
- Go to Integrations
Navigate to the Integrations page in your dashboard.
- Click "Connect Slack"
You'll be redirected to Slack to authorize the integration.
- Select a Channel
Choose which Slack channel should receive fraud alerts.
- Authorize
Click "Allow" to grant ClickDefender permission to post messages.
Alert Format
When fraud is detected, you'll receive a message like this:
- Datacenter IP (+25)
- Rapid clicks (+30)
- Honeypot triggered (+40)
Microsoft Ads
Microsoft Ads integration is currently in development. Once available, it will offer the same automatic IP exclusion syncing as our Google Ads integration.
In the meantime, you can manually export your blocklist and import it into Microsoft Ads. See our blocklist export documentation.
Disconnecting Integrations
To disconnect an integration:
- Go to the Integrations page
- Find the integration you want to remove
- Click the "Disconnect" button
- Confirm the disconnection
Note: Disconnecting Google Ads will not remove existing IP exclusions from your campaigns. You'll need to remove those manually in Google Ads if desired.
